Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Pork
Ingredients:
- 2.5 tbsp Paprika
- 1.5 lb Pork Loin cut into strips
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 20 oz Canned Pineapple chunks
- 1 c Onions chopped
- 1 Bell Peppers green, chopped
- .25 c Apple Cider Vinegar
- 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3 tbsp Coconut Aminos Or Tamari
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- .5 tsp Sea Salt
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- .25 c Cold Water
- .25 c Green Onions chopped
Instructions:
- Place paprika in a large resealable plastic bag. Add sliced pork, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a nonstick skillet, brown pork in oil in batches over medium-high heat. Transfer to a slow cooker.
- Drain pineapple, reserving juice; refrigerate the pineapple. Add the pineapple juice, onion, green pepper, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and salt to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender.
- Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into pork mixture. Add pineapple. Cover and cook 30 minutes longer or until sauce is thickened. If desired, sprinkle with green onions and serve over rice.
