Pair these tasty strips with your favorite dipping sauces and sides and recreate a traditional fast food experience at home using only healthy ingredients! If you don’t want to use oat flour, you could sub any gluten-free flour of your choice. Oat flour works great though and gives an excellent crispy breading that is hard to get with other flours.

Ingredients – Batter

Ingredients – Chicken

  • 1 1/2 chicken breast tenders
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Oil, for frying


  1. medium-sizem size bowl, beat the eggs, water, and hot sauce.
  2. In another bowl, combine the oat flour and pepper. Season the chicken with the remaining salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Dip the seasoned chicken in the egg, and then coat well in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat the oil to 350 degrees F in a deep pot. Do not fill the pot more than 1/2 full with oil.
  5. Fry the chicken in the oil until brown and crisp around 7 minutes.
