Simple Garlicky Asparagus Spears

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Asparagus washed, destemmed, and cut into bite sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil or butter if not on AIP
  • 5 cloves Garlic minced or crushed (more or less to taste)
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt to taste
  • .5 tsp Ground Black Pepper omit pepper for strict AIP

Instructions:

  • Melt the coconut oil or butter in a large skillet, add the garlic, and stir it into the oil.
  • Toss the asparagus in and stir around to coat the stalks.
  • Cover and cook for 5–10 minutes or until they are just al dente with a teeny bit of crunch left.
