Pork Chops with Kale and Apples
Ingredients:
- 2 lb Pork Chops bone in, blade cut
- 0.50 bunch Kale stemmed and sliced into 1-inch wide strips
- 2 Apples peeled, cored, and quartered
- 1 c Onions 1 onion, chopped
- .5 c Apple Juice unfiltered
- 2 tsp Dried Sage
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- .5 tsp Ground Black Pepper
Instructions:
- Add kale, apples, onion, apple juice, and sage to the slow cooker.
- Cut 2-inch slits about 2 inches apart, through outer layer of fat on each chop.
- Season chops with salt and pepper and nestle into slow cooker. Cover and cook until pork is tender, 2 to 3 hours on low.
- Transfer chops to plate, tent with aluminum foil to keep warm and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Season kale and apple mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
