Pork Chops with Kale and Apples

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb Pork Chops bone in, blade cut
  • 0.50 bunch Kale stemmed and sliced into 1-inch wide strips
  • 2 Apples peeled, cored, and quartered
  • 1 c Onions 1 onion, chopped
  • .5 c Apple Juice unfiltered
  • 2 tsp Dried Sage
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • .5 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Instructions:

  • Add kale, apples, onion, apple juice, and sage to the slow cooker.
  • Cut 2-inch slits about 2 inches apart, through outer layer of fat on each chop.
  • Season chops with salt and pepper and nestle into slow cooker. Cover and cook until pork is tender, 2 to 3 hours on low.
  • Transfer chops to plate, tent with aluminum foil to keep warm and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Season kale and apple mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
